Shipping & Billing Addresses:
GothGiftBaskets.com requires your billing or shipping address if you place an order with us, or if you wish to receive free stuff. Currently, this information is not encrypted, or secure from third party viewers. Such information is not considered confidential - its already listed in the phone book, online, etc. In any case, we do not sell, distribute, share or use your information for any other purpose than that specified on the site. Expect that we wont send you unsolicited mail. And if you hear someone tapping on your windows at night, its not us - we promise!.
Same as everything else. We do not sell, distribute, share or use your phone number for any other purpose than that specified on the site. We wont tell long distance carriers how to find you. We wont call in the middle of the night and breath heavily into the phone (unless you want us to). We really don't even want to talk to you. However, if an emergency situation arises that we need to contact you immediately, it would be nice to have your phone number available.
Credit Card Info:
We have not yet harnessed the technology to process credit cards directly. So, if someone masquerading as GothGiftBaskets.com contacts you and asks you for your credit card information - DON'T GIVE IT TO THEM!. All credit card payments to GothGiftBaskets.com must be made through PayPal.com. Your credit card information remains confidential between you and PayPal. We never even see it, so we can't possibly misuse it.
Cookies & Tracking:
The software which drives our online store uses small files, called "cookies" to establish a "session" with your browser and match you up with your shopping cart. We also a service called Google Analytics, which sets its own cookie, in order to collect anonymous data on how our customers are using our site.
Banners, Popup Ads, etc.:
Some people may not consider this a privacy issue, but we at GothGiftBaskets.com have strong feelings about unsolicited advertisements invading your desktop. When someone visits our site, that person probably isn't seeking information about the weather. That person is probably seeking information about Goth Gift Baskets - surprise! We find little merit in bombarding our users with the invasive marketing techniques of other companies. Increasing our web traffic simply isn't worth compromising your internet experience.
